This is a luxurious face oil that has been around forever and makes you feel as if you have bought an ancient beauty secret. Mysteriously packaged, it conjures up old world beauty from Asia that must be miraculous. And I have read good things about it in Allue. That the oils really do work. I just can't fit it into my routine. I have gone the route of retinols that seem to have more science behind them. So, while I like this product, AND it doesn't cause any allergic reactions, many of Sheseido's products DO have too much perfume and I cannot use them. So, I can't create a regimen with Sheseido products that includes this oil. But if you can, then DO use this product.

I have recently started a regimen of StriVectin products. (See my reviews of StriVectin-AR retinol products.) This product was a GWF so I am using it too. After 5 weeks, there is a HUGE difference in my skin, less fine lines, brighter, smoother. However, I do use an Opal and Lancome's Genefique serum on fine lines. (I am 48.) I think retinols are the real powerhouse, but I'm not counting this little cream out. It is FABULOUS that is doesn't itch and doesn't hurt much if I get it in my eye. Many products for the eye get discounted right away for that reason. My only problem with it is that is separates. I have to shake the tube vigorously before using and even then sometimes watery stuff comes out instead of cream. So, going forward, I may skip this cream and see if I can be ok just with the retinols alone. I'm glad I got to try it, but I don't like the way it performs.

The great colors trick you into buying these combinations of eye shadows. Glamorous Gems was close to the colors in Lancome's Jade Fever, which I also own. But I agree with other reviewers that it was hard to get one color on a brush and thus hard to use the shadows from these palettes. They made my eyes itch. Then, to add insult to injury, I dropped the palette and every shadow shattered, making a huge mess. I have tried to repackage them in various empty sample containers but I may just throw them away. A waste of money. I've dropped Jade Fever and the shadows hold together. That's the difference between inexpensive eye shadows and expensive ones.

I just wrote a review for StriVectin AR Advanced Retinol Night Treatment where I outlined why I think this product, combined with the night retinol and the day retinol with SPF 30 are the best way to get results in all areas of concern with anti-aging. So I won't totally rewrite that review. However, Allure magazine recommends retinols. So does a friend of mine who can afford the dermatologist and skips all these products. I am 48 and have seen great results after about 5 weeks. Plus, you can take these products back if they don't work. I assume that means even if you've used them up and gotten not results. But I bought them at Nordstorm's which is known for it's customer service.

I recently read in Allure that the 2 things you should do for your skin is to wear sunscreen and to use a retinol cream at night. I recently bought an $89 kit that included this product and the retinol AR day cream that is SPF 30, as well as AR Advanced Retinol Eye Treatment. I also use Lancome's Genfique serum in my Opal on a number of areas of concern = eye contour, frown lines, parentheses lines, sometimes my forehead lines, above my lip and even that line under my chin - the double chin line. It would be hard to say exactly which product is doing the job among all these. I do add a moisturizer and some other StriVectin products. But I really think the retinols are doing the trick. My skin is WAY better after a little over a month. Far less fine lines, smoother, brighter. My dark circles under my eyes are less. I have StriVectin SD Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles and StriVectin TL 360 Tightening Eye Serum, but those products do not get used as consistently as the retinols, partly because of Allure's recommendation. I also have a friend who skips the store bought skin products altogether and can afford the dermatologist. She says the same thing. Retinols are the real powerhouse when it comes to changing the DNA of your skin and affecting real change. Plus, I was told by the rep at Nordstorm's Trend Show (fashion show for beauty) that StriVectin's products are guaranteed. If they don't work, you can take them back.

which is a play on words for the instructions for its use. I only got a one-use sample of this. However, you had to fold the packaging in half and try to pour both halves of 2 serums out together. That didn't work at all and the serums ended up in 2 different places in my hand. I had spoken with a Clarins cosmetic rep and I was supposed to warm the 2 serums up in my hands and then apply to my face. It was so complicated to use that I'm not sure I can be concerned if the technology is really a breakthrough. But also, I own an Opal and I like to be able to use my serums in that and there is no way to use this serum in an Opal (Clairsonic product that is really helping with fine lines). If you don't have an Opal, maybe this serum is worth the extra effort of mixing and warming. But I'm also concerned about how much product would end up absorbing into my hands rather than into my face. I'm really not sure if I got the serum onto my face well-mixed, but I'm sure I'd do a better job out of the bottle than out of the sample package. It's just that, based on that sample, I don't even want to try it. Looking forward to reviews from someone who will have bought the whole bottle and is not deterred by the complicated instructions. Is this better than Lancome's Genefique? But I just doubt it can be better than Genefique used in an Opal.

So far I have liked it, but I want to come back and re-review after the winter. If my lips are chapped, it will loose stars.

I am one of those people who feels that the more I use lip products, the more I seem to need them. It's as if they actually MAKE my lips chapped rather than prevent chapping. But this product is working so far for the winter of 2013. If anything changes, I will come back and update this review. I have also been using Philosophy's Kiss Me Tonight, so that might have something to do with it. Normally, the winter time is a time for very bad chapped lips for me and I am not experiencing that. However, we haven't made it to January yet. But I did want to put up a review so I can find this product later.

I love that these are so long wearing and can be made super shiny if you want or stay matte. I love a matte look. And, these won't melt if I accidentally leave them in a hot car.

L'Oréal Paris Double Extend Lash Boosting Serum Concentrated Lash Boosting Serum
I had to pull over and stop the car...
I'm glad to see that this product worked for some. The first day after I'd put it on my lids and lashes the night before, I was driving and suddenly I felt like I'd just chopped up a bunch of onions. I was so teary that I had to stop the car. The next night, I tried it on JUST my lashes and not my lid. But the same thing happened. This is why my user name is "sensitive". So, I will not be finding out if this product works or not. The mascara is ok with the primer. But I am coming to find that almost nothing beats Benefit They're Real! withOUT a primer. Not sure what I'm going to do with all these other mascaras I've got.
