After hating Urban Decay's nude primer and not sure about MAC's eyeshadow Paint Pot in Painterly as primers, I think this is the one. It is pink toned and matches my skin. It's moist and fast because you use a wand to apply it. I just blend with my concealer brush. (Which I have just used to apply Trish McEvoy Instant Eye Lift.) Her products are pricey, but for my eyes, which are getting drier, this is worth it. Oh, and it keeps the shadow lasting. Especially, I find that MAC shadows don't wear well on me. Nor does my Lancome Jade Fever stay put. These are expensive shadows that need reapplication. But they do much better with Trish's Eye Base underneath. I've not noticed any more creasing than I get anyway due to my age.

I had never tried a cheek highlighter when this arrived as Sephora's birthday gift. But I can't get it to work as an under-the-brow highlighter either. I think for pink and very rosy fair skin, it's just not that great of a color or a look. For people who get *some* kind of natural tan, then it could work. But I just look silly no matter how much I blend this color into my face. And I don't think the shine is really adding anything to my 48 year old look. Maybe I just need lessons on the correct way to wear highlighter on my cheeks... but I mostly think this is a look I will skip.

I am really glad for these reviews! I bought Painterly thinking that is was MAC's eye shadow primer. Now I come to find it is a cream eyeshadow! I feel it does work well as a primer, but it is dry, which was my problem with Urban Decay's Potion in the Nude color - WAY too dry. I hate to take this back, but... Trish McEvoy's Eye Base Essentials may be the winner in the end. This is because her product is pinkish and moist, and that is my skin tone and what my skin needs = moisture. Plus, I feel the wand is faster to use than my finger. And, no chance of the product drying up.

I agree with the other reviews that this is a great brush, but... if you have a lot of brushes already, you may find you don't need this one. I didn't really need to buy this one when I bought Smashbox's awesome Brow Tech in Dark Brown. (which maybe I could have gotten one shade lighter. Forgot to tell them my hair was *dyed* black.) I am doing fine with my tiny angled eyeliner brushes and much harder brow brush I had from the Body Shop. And I may even try a tiny concealer brush I have from elf. The elf brush is similar to the brow brush that was offered by Trish McEvoy in HER brow system, which I also learned at Fall 2013 Nordstrom's Trend Show. So, while I absolutely believe that good brushes are an important investment, I'm finding that some of mine can multi-task and sometimes inexpensive ones are ok. This brush will probably be returned unopened. I still recommend it though if you have nothing similar.

Similar to my review for MUFE eyeshadows... Everyone sees and differentiates color differently. Search x-rite to find an online test that will give you an idea of how well you see variations in color! I am very picky about finding exactly the right shade of an eyeshadow or lipstick etc. Long ago, Guerlain made a liquid gold eyeliner that was the basis of a particular look for me that I loved. I have been searching for a replacement for that shade of product for years. Now that we have gel liners, I can get all sorts of great colors. But only MUFE makes the perfect gold that highlights the gold in my eyes. LOVE THIS product! I hope you find an equally flattering shade! The only down-side - DO NOT leave the lid off. The product will become hard as a rock and useless.

This is a pretty basic cleanser for the Estee Lauder line for dry skin, which I have. It removes makeup and comes off well enough. But it has too much perfume for my sensitive skin. I am using Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser right now which has a lot less perfume in it. However, I still think there is a better cleanser out there for me. It could be just the simple Cetaphil. The other strange thing about this cleanser is the directions. It recommends to "tissue off" the product. I learned never to use tissues on my face as they are made of paper and you would not rub a piece of wood on your face. That would be too harsh for your face. That really shocked me that that would be Lauder's skin care advice! I don't recommend this product.

I have very long, wavy hair. I am always looking for a leave-in conditioner that will let me get away with not having to flat-iron my hair. I used Schwarzkopf's Smooth Operator for a time. This is not much better than that. It leaves my hair pretty frizzy. I discovered Lush's R&B Cream which is good, but I still need the flat iron for $25. I bought this for $12 at Marshall's. Schwarzkopf is at least much cheaper for the result. I have long ago given up conditioning my hair because I always use a leave-in. (Why pay for something I just rinse out? What is is really doing? I am suspicious of "body conditioners" for the same reason.) However, yesterday, I used Jason Natural Lavender Conditioner and I have a better result for my hair than from using this product. A bottle of that is $10.50, so I will take that over Straight Guard AND Smooth Operator any day. Plus it is 70% organic. Finally, the best I have found are the hair oils. You have to be careful with them, so as not to get greasy hair. But you have to be careful with these products too. Kendi oil left my hair not perfectly strait, but smooth and with body so that I didn't absolutely have to flatten it straight. Gorgeous. Ojon oil was not as good. I have to try my Diamond Oil sample. Check my eventual review of that. These oils are expensive though. $16 plus shipping for not quite 2 oz. But you use very little and I can skip flat ironing. Yay for that. So, I don't recommend this product. I took it back and was glad Marshall's took it. Ross Dress for Less is more of a hassle with returns.

I bought Dior's deepest purple because it was beautiful in the bottle. However, on my nails, it just looked like black. The polish didn't wear any better than less expensive brands, so I knew I was just paying to have a bottle in my bag that said "Dior". I have enough expensive cosmetics that I don't need overpriced nail polish. If the color is TRULY one-of-a-kind, then, yes, I can't resist. But this wasn't it. I took it back and got something else at Neiman's.

Desert Rose! is a color I have been waiting about a decade for someone to make. A coral that is not bright, subtle. English Rose is a pink in the same genre. I have 2 bottles of each. Plus, these colors wear VERY well with Sally Hansen Insta- Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat in the red bottle. Use that product for all your manicures. Nails are dry in 40 minutes and you can go to bed with no wrinkles or pock marks. If there is a better TRUE quick dry product, I haven't found it yet.

I thought I'd try yellow. But it was way too watery and took 3 coats before there were no dark "holes" in this opaque color. It also chipped within a few days even though I had a good no-chip top coat. Agreed that the color selection is limited.
