I tried this mascara on and it was amazing. It gets high ratings. But when I bought it, it was just ordinary. Right now, I have Marc Jacobs mascara and primer. It is good but does need to be reapplied. I always want my mascara to last longer than it does. Even good ones become clumpy pretty quickly. Might try Cover Girl's Clump Crusher.

But they go on very light - not a lot of pigmentation. And they dry up quickly. I like Stila's felt tip and Dior's as well.

I like to use crayons to tightline my upper waterline. I bought a bunch of Marc Jacobs cosmetics and got both a black and a purple sample liner. They are not as soft as Laura Mercier's liners or Sheshido or even Estee Lauder. Trish McAvoy makes very soft liners that create a high glamour look which I love and make your eyes pop. But Trish has limited color selection and you do need to sharpen almost every time. The woman at the Marc Jacobs counter showed me how to sharpen them by rolling them on tissue or paper towel. But they still do not look as cool as the other brands I mentioned. Great color selection though if you like to use them above or below the eye.

My title just about says it all. I've given up on Lancome's art liners and will not try this product again either. I have it in the purple shade. I haven't really used the bendable brush. I can do liquid without that. But my Wet 'n Wild liquid goes on darker, better looking and is lasting longer than this expensive product. Get that instead.

I have a bunch of this and use it for my chest since it's cheaper than other creams. However, I just figured out that it is full of parabens. Parabens have been known in the thyroid community to mimic hormones in the body and this is something we can't afford. I will probably use up my supply but never buy this product again. I wouldn't recommend it even for those without a thyroid condition. If you do have thyroid issues, or suspect you do, check out thyroid activists Mary Shomon and Janie Bowethorpe. The current standard of care leaves MANY of us untreated or undertreated. You have to be your own advocate and search for good help. Best of luck to better health!

Which is how it was described to me by someone behind a cosmetics counter after I wondered about this mascara. First, I got it in a sample size as part of Sephora's Lash Stash at Christmas 2011. Some of the samples lasted a really LONG time. So I didn't get to others of them for quite some time. By then, certain ones had dried up. Like Josie Moran, Too Faced Lashgasm and this one. These won't be high on my list to buy a full size version. And I see another review here where her sample dried up. But then I talked to the sales person and she said this mascara is designed for people who want to wear mascara while looking like they are NOT wearing mascara. The line in general is designed for more mature women (more mature even that 48) or so I've also been told. Anyway, I prefer very long lashes and not the subtle look. So not only do I not like the fact that this dried up, but I would not like the "not wearing mascara" look anyway if it hadn't dried up. If you DO like that look, then this may be the mascara for you. Either way, I've decided I'm saving all the wands of my mascaras from now on for combing out clumps! The sample size ones are handy.

and I only used the 1 month supply. But I didn't notice any difference in one month. And there are definitely products that at least give you some indication that they are working within a month. One of the products concerned me because it contained parbens. Parabens have been shown to mimic hormones in the body. These are bad for anybody, but especially bad for thyroid patients like myself. I follow thyroid patient activists Mary Shomon and Janie Bowethrope to keep up on the latest for thyroid because many patients are going untreated or undertreated. That is why we have to advocate for ourselves. There are groups online and they will help you. Anyway, I see on the Meaningful Beauty web site that they have new and updated products. Perhaps the line is worth a second shot. But I would double check for parabens. They are the first ingredient that more natural lines get rid of.

This product will give you think, long black lashes. But it is a bit clumpy coming out of the tube. You have to comb through it carefully. I like very long lashes day or night and I like to get them quickly. I don't plan to take this back, but I like Bare Escentuals, Lauder's Sumptuous and Benefit They're Real! better than this formula. I haven't tried Dior though yet. Those will give you long, think lashes fast. And that's what I like. The least work possible is good for me and the above products have large brushes which seem to do the trick for me. That and Trish McEvoy's lash curler - though sometimes I forget to curl.

This is not as clumpy as Loreal's primers. That's a plus. I don't think Lancome's primers are any better. But I do hear that Dior's primer makes your lashes longer. At least there has been no itching with this formula. Some mascaras - like Benefit They're Real! don't work that well with a primer. MAC's In Extreme Dimension Lash doesn't either. And those 2 mascaras give long lashes without a primer. In the end, I DO think primers help. And despite conflicting advice from women at cosmetic counters, I think they work better if you let them dry first. All in all, I think this is as good as Lancome's for a cheaper price.

There are no bristles to the wand. It is just a stick with grooves on one side. It would take a lot of practice to work with this mascara. Unfortunately, I like really long lashes and this formula is not super long. So, I would rather stick with Bare Escentuals or Lauder Sumptuous or especially Benefit They're Real! These mascara's give you very long lashes fast and without clumps. Urban Decay's curl formula is not bad either. If you like very long lashes and want them quickly.
