Mmmm. I'm not a perfume person; in fact most either give me a rash or a headache. Yuck. Plus I hate overpowering scent on a person; I like to smell fresh and clean, not "scented". This "perfume" is so fresh and so fruity and not at all overpowering. I love it. My husband loves it. I get compliments all the time when I wear it, but the person has to be pretty close to me to notice. The scent stays fresh and consistent. It's great for day but has just a hint of something muskier that works for night, too. Especially a warm, summer night. Yummy.

Chanel Exceptionnel De Chanel Intense Volume and Curl Mascara
Wow...and I don't usually say that about mascara...
I was given a sample of this mascara to try for an Allure magazine review and I have to admit, I was skeptical. Very very skeptical. Frankly, (and I'm sure a lot of you feel the same) I have been sick to death of all the ridiculous mascara gimmicks that have seemed to rise up in the past year. And this mascara had a gimmick; the brush. I had flashbacks of trying a Lancome mascara a while back that was MURDER. Well, I was proved wrong. At first I thought it was a little clumpy, but as soon as I had a better handle on how to use the brush I got amazing results. This mascara makes you look like you actually have a beautiful, full set of lashes if you are lacking (as I am). They look dramatic, healthy, and full; perfect. If only the price was not so "ouch".

Pretty good mascara. Especially for the price. It's inky, black, and separates lashes perfectly. If only it added more volume it would be a real steal. I like using this with a coat of volumizing mascara on top; it creates really pretty, full lashes.

Urban Decay's standouts are always their eye cosmetics. Their liquid liner is no exception, though I have to say their 24/7 Waterproof pencil liners take the cake. The liquid liners come in amazing colors (as usual) including some dramatic, and go on smooth and even. The thin brush is perfect for applying an even, precise line. The colors stay strong and stay on but can get a little bit goopy. The only real drawback I found was the packaging; it's cute, sure, but the there's no place to wipe off the brush in the tube without get liner all over it and it seeping out. No good. Overall a great liquid liner that comes in some fantastic colors.

I love the color of this new tint; it gives your lips the exact, perfect "I just ran a half-mile" pink flush. Very natural and pretty. As far as the staying power goes? Not so much. Covergirl Outlast lip stains last much longer and come in some pretty shades that actually stay on really well. Plus they're much more affordable. I got a sample of this to try and I'm not sure I can justify the steep price tag to buy a bottle of my own. Plus there's no portability with this product unlike the Covergirl brand which are convenient little marker-like pens.

This is a pretty concise collection of shadows; I have had this shadow box for quite a while now and I use it when I really need some dramatic color. Don't buy it if you're looking for wear-anytime neutrals because there really aren't any. Smog and Last Call can really be pretty and demure if applied the right way and these are the colors I use most often. The brighter colors (when you need 'em) are gorgeous and never look tacky or cheap. The one drawback? The glitters. Little particles of glitter get all over your face and are impossible to get off. Booo. Overall a fun collection of very high quality shadows.

You know, I might have been sold on this eyeshadow primer if I hadn't already found the Avon Beyond Color cream eyeshadow that works unbelievably well for much, much cheaper. Eye shadow primer is worth that extra step to getting rich, professional-looking results, and for long-lasting color and no creasing or fading. I always get compliments when I use eye shadow primer even when I use a cheaper, less-pigmented eye shadow on top. The Urban Decay product is good, but not worth the price for such a paltry amount. The Avon product works just as well, if not better, and is a much better value.

Pretty good. I'm glad to see that drugstore brands are offering at-home microderm-like face washes; I find they really help my dry-ish skin to stay flake-free and free of dead skin cell build-up. This one is pretty good; I do prefer the Biore version, but this one does a pretty good job of exfoliating and keeping reactive redness down. This product has one thing over the Biore product; the price. Excellent value.

The first thing I noticed about this shampoo is the way it lathers. It feels so creamy and like it's softening your hair right in the shower. It is gentle and left my hair soft and incredibly shiny. I've yet to see if it's preserving my color but I have great hopes for it.

So far I really like this shampoo; it's got some great scientific technology backing up it's claims (check out the October issue of Allure) and so far seems to come through in practice, not just theory. It makes my long, fine-ish wavy hair soft and shiny. We'll see what it does for increased strength and less breakage down the road. So far I'm sold!
