This moisturizer does a nice job of moisturizing the majority of my face (the dryer areas like the sides of my nose don't quite get enough) and I like that it makes my skin feel soft and velvety to the touch; not at all greasy or slick. It has helped with some sensitive skin issues I've been having though I haven't seen a reduction in the minor redness on my cheeks and it has been over a week. It's a keeper, though.

I don't get it. I tried it. And I don't get it. It's sticky and messy and doesn't hold for very long at all and the SMELL. Awful.

I realized of late that even though I have dry skin I easily get clogged pores underneath my skin that manifest in tiny little bumps on my face; mostly on my forehead and cheeks, and I need to use a cleanser with SOME salicylic acid to take care of this. But I need the right balance because an acne-cleanser is way to harsh and drying for my dry skin (even the most gentle). This cleanser fits the bill. It is creamy and not harsh on my dry skin but also contains just enough salicylic acid to take care of those little bumps. I've seen a reduction in them in only the past three days I've been using this product. That makes me happy. My skin, too.

This conditioner is top-notch. It made my hair impossibly soft, I couldn't believe it. I used it when I first tried the glossing cream as well and I attributed the way my hair felt and looked mostly to the cream, but when I skipped the conditioner once I noticed my hair was a lot less soft before and after styling, and didn't smell as fantastic as this conditioner made my hair smell. I am still trying to justify paying the high price for it because it is fantastic.

I have fine curly hair that is frizzy which I straighten myself 2-3 times a week. If you are in this interesting predicament, you understand what I mean; you need something moisturizing to control frizz and add moisture, but formulas created for curly/frizzy hair inevitably contain heavy ingredients more suited to coarse types of hair. This does not do. Most conditioners weigh down my hair and leave it looking and feeling greasy not long into my blowout. This conditioner is excellent, it is lightweight and very moisturizing. I can use quite a bit on my hair (even near the scalp) and it always rinses out clean and leaves my hair much smoother. I have noticed an improvement in my hair since using this conditioner and at around 14 bucks it's not outside my budget (Look for sales at local chain salons on liter sizes on these, you can get some really good deals!).

I tried this moisturizer when I picked it up at Marshall's (it is discontinued by the company) and was very pleased with it. It is really only for those with dry sensitive skin as it is very emollient. It's a good, basic moisturizer but the one big drawback is that it doesn't contain SPF. Booo. It was worth the 10 bucks I paid for it, but I would be disappointed if I had to shell out what it would cost regularly.

I have to admit; I was suckered into buying this due to a fantastic review in Lucky magazine. It told me that I'd look like a chic French girl. I loved that. And you know what, it's not bad. Not bad at all. I tried the sugar blossom shade and the stain is a very pretty, sheer color that you can easily layer to make deeper but is a tad drying; it won't "stick" to anything but bare lips, though, so apply a balm or gloss after appplying. It does make your lips look full and sort of velvety and matte; perfect for a soft kind of retro look. As far as the French girl goes... I don't know, but at least my lips are pretty!

John Frieda is a man of many claims, it's just too bad that his products don't deliver. I have tried almost all of the frizz-ease products (I started trying them out as a teenager when I had trouble controlling my naturally curly hair) and none of them have been the "miracle" product they are purported to be. This serum is just a basic hair serum no better than any by Pantene, Dove, Sunsilk, Tresemme, or any of the other drugstore brands. In fact, many of these brands have improved their products over time while frizz-ease has remained the same. Save your money on the frizz-ease line--go for their luminous color glaze instead, it's great!

I used to use Almay's makeup remover pads to get my eye makeup off, and don't get me wrong, those work great but it took time with those little pads to get all that stuff off my eyes. I tried this product when it first came on the market (I was intrigued by the commercial) and have used it faithfully ever since. It doesn't sting my eyes (and my peepers can be sensitive), and it quickly dissolves all the makeup off my eyes. Here's the thing, the makeup collects a bit underneath your lower lash line, but it you quickly wipe with a wet washcloth it comes off in a snap. It's gentle, it works, and it's much more time efficient than the Almay pads.

Okay, this stuff does give "ultra moisture". The problem is it also leaves behind an icky residue that felt disgusting on a typical California day. Not good. This wash doesn't irritate my skin and thoroughly moisturizes but there are many more on the market now that do the job just as well and rinse clean (and smell yummier, too).
