It smells absolutely divine, slightly citrus-y, a little floral, but not overwhelmingly so. It has sea salt in it, but it's not huge chunks that hurt when you use it. Quite the contrary - you don't even realize that you're using a scrub until you see the effects on your skin afterwards. Don't expect lots of lather, although if you're a Lush fan, you probably don't expect that out of any of their products - and that's a good thing. It's made of natural and/or organic stuff as well as "safe synthetics," if you care about that sort of thing. I personally don't, I just love their products.

Especially in the summer months. I'm betting that sufferers of back breakouts would do really well with this product. Don't expect a great smell - it literally smells like coal or tar, and can be a bit messy what with the black flakes everywhere and all. But you will get results with this if you stick with it.

I have been traveling a lot lately. It's been great fun and I love it, but it always seems to take a toll on my skin. Even though I consider my skin exceptionally oily, a few hours spent on an airplane can dry it up like crazy. When I had an opportunity to try the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist, I jumped on it. I figured it could tuck the little bottle into my carry-on and use it if my skin started acting funny. Sure enough, one flight in, my skin felt dull and dry. A quick spray of the Jurlique gave it instant moisture, but not so much that it felt overly moist or greasy.

What makes this Dirt product different than the others already out there is the delivery method. You don't have to get your hands all gross to get great texture. A few sprays (not many - you don't use it like traditional hairspray) and you can have some gorgeous texture without a lot of fuss. The downside is the price - $29 for a little over 4 ounces it a bit too rich for my blood, but it really does give good hair. I'd give it 10 stars if it wasn't so expensive.

But it really is a lovely fragrance. It's a fruits and florals fragrance, which is perfect for spring. Regardless of whether or not you believe the scent can change people's perception of your age, you will definitely get compliments on the fragrance.

Maybelline New York Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Washable Mascara
Not a Bad Mascara, Just Not for Me
What I love about Lash Stiletto: The brush isn't plastic! I'm tired of plastic or silicone brushes. I want the old fashioned spooley brushes that gave me tons of product on each swipe. I don't mind combing out the clumps, if there are any. The packaging is super cute. The smell is pleasant - some sort of fragrance is in it, but I can't put my finger on exactly what it is. Amazing lengthening properties. If you're looking for length, this is the mascara for you. The price is absolutely right - you'll only pay about $7.50 at a local drugstore for this one. What I don't love about Lash Stiletto: It doesn't do a thing for volume. Amazing lengths, but not so much in the volume department. However, this isn't billed as a volumizing mascara, but don't make the mistake of thinking that you'll get some volume out of it. You won't. You will, however, get amazing long, skinny lashes.

L'Oreal Paris HiP Studio Secrets Professional Color Truth Cream Eyeliner
Similar to High End Products
I found these to be very similar to Stila Smudge Pot, MAC's Fluidline, and Bobbi Brown's Gel Liner. Nicely pigmented and very easy to apply with an angled brush. Excellent value for the price.

I put it on after a good cleanse and my salicylic acid toner. It did a lovely job of evening out my skin and giving it just enough moisture to keep it from being overly dry without being too heavy or greasy and causing breakouts. I think this is a fantastic all around great combination-skin moisturizer. The best part about it, besides it not giving me breakouts, is the smell. It's a lovely, light rose scent, and not the synthetic rose scent you normally associate with cosmetics. I didn't find any rose botanicals listed in the ingredients, so I assume it must be a high quality fragrance. Not overwhelming, and it will disappear shortly after application.

I was desperate while in Salt Lake City recently, and remembered how many of my beauty girls have raved about this one before. So I popped over to Nordstrom and grabbed a bottle. Wow! It's amazing! Totally took care of my itchy skin and made it feel as smooth as silk. The best part is that it didn't have any sort of lingering scent, so I could wear my regular fragrance without worrying about it all clashing. The one downside? It's expensive. But oh so worth it.

This is radically different from any primer I've used before. Instead of being more of a gel or a silicone-feeling liquid, this really feels like a lotion, but it is amazing in terms of creating a matte canvas for me to work with. Smooths on easily and quickly whips your face into shape. I won't use any other primer.
