  • Burt's Bees Lip Balm Tin

This product is awesome for dry lips. They'll quickly be non-chapped almost instantly after using it. The only thing I don't like about this product is that it is in a tin version. I don't like to bring it out with me and use it in public after touching surfaces and stuff with my hands and then having to use my finger to put this on my lips! So I started only using it at night, which was too bad, so I decided to switch to a stick version. I ended up trying the honey stick and I prefer it a lot better. With the pot, I found I had to dig my fingernails in to get a good amount of it on my lips whereas the tube applied a perfect amount in just one swipe.

  • N.Y.C. New York Color Long-Wearing Nail Enamel

I liked this nail polish. Comes in some cool colors and lasted without chipping about the same as similarly priced polishes. For the price you can buy several, which is nice. Obviuosly doesn't compare to OPI but I findy ou generally get what you pay for.

  • Rimmel London 60 Seconds Nail Polish

Not gonna lie, I'm not all that impressed with the claim that it dries in 60 seconds. I liked the color I used and the way it looked, but it took longer than 60 seconds to dry. If you want to get technical, maybe it DID dry in 60 seconds, but it's not lke I could do anything without completely smudging my nails because they are still SOFT. Plus aren't almost all nail polishes this way? They dry quickly but are still soft so you really can't do a whole lot for an hour or so? Buy this polish for the colors and price, not for the drying speed.

  • Mustela Bebe Shampoo

I bought this sort of on a whim for a baby shower gift. I was ordering stuff from eBeauty in Canada and wanted tog et the free shipping so I had to spend over $75. My friend gave it glowing reviews and said she even used it on her own hair, so I decided to try it for myself. It was really gentle on my hair, which isn't the healthiest just from coloring it and going overboard with the straightener. It didn't really lather up as much as I generally like to see in a shampoo so I'm undecided if I'll buy it again considering the price. I think if you using it JUST for your baby it's probably a good thing to invest in every once in awhile. It does go a longer way when you use it on a baby's hair rather than shoulder length thick like mine!

    CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner

    Favorite eyeliner ever

I'm honestly shocked to see so many negative reviews of this product!! OK this eyeliner is by far the best of any I have ever tried. I don't know if it's because i don't have to use a disgusting sharpener every other day but it's great!! I'll admit that it's not as pointy as an eyeliner that you sharpen would be, but it goes on so smoothly and is super easy to blend in. I don't use the blender on the other side of the pencil (I prefer using my fingers for a more natural look) but I'm sure it would look nice if you did. I tend to find them on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart for around $5, which is great. They're normal price is obviously higher than a pencil liner, but you also don't have to worry about the sharpener and trying to make it go on without looking awful (can you tell I hate pencil liners??). I don't find it creases but at the end of a super long day it gets a little smudgy on my bottom lash line. HOWEVER this is a look I like; it doesn't look sloppy or anything like that, it's just like I blended it a little extra and looks cool. I'm addicted to the dark brown color and as soon as I run out I know I need to get myself to the store to pick up another version. It lasts a long time too, so you don't need to worry about running out; I wear it literally everyday and it lasts me months. The black is okay but as someone already mentioned, it's not super jet black, which is why I don't wear my black one as often as I'd like. I used to be a big fan of the grey pencil, but now I'm all about the brown, haha.

  • NYX Cosmetics NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

I tried buying this beauty product for a couple of reasons. First, the price was so cheap I couldn't go wrong, and second I was lured by the "matte" name of it. I ordered "perfect red" from eBeauty, the Canadian beauty site, (have never actually seen this brand in Shoppers Drug Mart or anywhere else, for that matter) and ended up liking it a lot. It was my first time wearing such a bold red, so in terms of colour, I really liked it and thought it looked nice with my skin tone (pale-ish) without being too harsh looking. The matte finish looks cool too. It's definitely a welcome change from other lipglosses I've tried. It looks great when you first put it on but definitely doesn't last all the long so you'll need to touch it up after a little bit. For the price it is, I would recommend this for anyone looking to change up their lipgloss routine a little!

  • Dove Gentle Exfoliating Daily Facial Cleanser

This is my favorite facial cleanser. I use it in the day and morning and it doesn't dry my skin out like a lot of other cleansers often do. I use it to remove face and eye makeup too. It's not harsh on my skin at all and it smells nice, not too powerful. I've tried all the formulas and I think the original one is still my favorite. They are generally pretty pricey but they're nearly always on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart so I generally wait for a sale and then stock up so that I never have to go without it!

Jemma Kidd Make Up School Brow & Eye Kit

Perfect for on the go touch-ups

I love this cute little eyebrow palette! I ordered it from eBeauty (Canadian makeup site) not too long ago and had to share how awesome I thought it was. I absolutely love makeup kits that come with everything you need to fully get the job done. The tweezers are a great shape and I love that they just stow easily in the compact. It comes with an angled brush which is pretty convenient too and there's a decent sized mirror that I used. The only negative thing that I can really say is that I didn't use the lightest shade. I'm not sure who would really benefit from a shade this light but the other two were fine so it wouldn't stop me from buying it again.

    CHI Silk Infusion

    Best Smelling Hair Stuff

First off, I love the smell of this stuff. It smells like expensive perfume! As some of the other posters mention you seriously need to go easy on this stuff or else you will have disgusting greasy looking hair. It took me a couple tries to get the right amount. You can use a little after straightening your hair for a nice shine, but what I started to do is to put a little in my hair while it's still wet, before blow drying it and straightening it. I think it turns out a lot more natural looking and reduces the chances of having greaseball hair by accident. The only other negative thing I can think about is that it's hard to get off your hands...you'll have to really scrub your hands with soap and water!

  • Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette

So I ended up ordering the Naked palette from the Shopping Channel because (I kid you not) it was ALWAYS sold out whenever I went to get it at Sephora. I knew it was probably awesome if it was never in stock in several different stores and I was right. I had an older palette from Urban Decay but never had the heart to throw it away because I'd paid so much for it, but it turned out that my favorite color from the old palette (smog) is in the Naked palette soo that's how I justified spending so much on it. I seriously have zero regrets about buying this. Yes, it's pricey, but you do get a lot. I think the makeup will go bad before I run out! The colors are beautiful, very wearable for all skin tones. There isn't one color in there that I wouldn't wear. Another good thing: none of the shadows are sparkly (there may be one actually). With my other UD palette a lot of the shadows were super pretty colors but had glitter that went all over my face..super embarrassing for anyone over the age of 12. Anyhow, the colors are great, it comes with an amazing brush - great quality too. It also comes with the eye primer, which to be honest, I don't notice a difference when I wear it vs. when I don't. But I think the shadows alone make it worth the high price, plus if you tried to buy all the colors individually, you'd end up spending wayy more money in the long run.
