I scoffed at reviews that said this brush was amazing but my hairdresser convinced me to buy it since my hair tangles up quickly and generally needs help. I couldn't find it in any stores and the two salons I tried to get it at were both sold out. My hairdresser suggested I tried eBeauty, a Canadian beauty site, and success!! I'm pretty sure the salons even marked their prices up a little but could be wrong. They even delivered it to my front door for free! it's just SUCH good quality and I can tell it's going to last me a long time (it better for the price I paid, haha). It literally massages your scalp as you use it and almost redistributes the oils to leave your hair looking naturally shiny and beautiful. If you can afford the price tag, invest, you won't regret it!

I love that this lipgloss comes in a ton of cool shades. They are cheap enough that you can try a bunch of different colours without breaking the bank. I used to only be able to get them on trips to the US but now they sell them in Canada at La Senza and the few Vic Secret stores that recently opened up in Toronto. That was my main dislike of the product; finding it difficult to get my hands on. They're pretty sticky, but in terms of drugstore lip gloss, it's as good as anything by Cover Girl/Maybelline, etc.

Being super pale I've always struggled to find a bronzer that looks natural on my skin and doesn't make me look Snooki-orange. This bronzer is by far the best I've tried and gives me a glowy effect more than tanned look. I tried to buy it from Sears and they only had two colours so I didn't buy it for the longest time (apparently Sephora stopped selling it??), but I finally found a larger selection of shades on eBeauty (my go-to Canadian beauty site) that fit in more with my natural skin tone. It shipped for free since it was over $25 so I'll definitely be buying online instead of hunting the stores for it!

Half the fun of these polishes are the cool names they have. I find they go on great, very smoothly and dry quickly. Plus since they don't use the nasty chemicals that a lot of other polishes use, they don't smell AS bad. I really am into the Rock and Jewel Tones collection right now, lots of pretty colours. My favorite of these is No More Waity Kaity (yes!!) which is a light purple/greige with some hints of sparkle in it. Definitely wearable to the office AND out on weekends. My only issue is the cost. Yes, they are a little expensive, but it's hard to find polishes that don't have all the chemicals in them. I'm finding I'd rather pay for quality, so this is worth it to me. Being in Canada I wasn't sure where to even find them (any suggestions??) but realized they actually sell them on eBeauty, the Canadian beauty site. They often have free shipping promotions on for orders over x-dollar amount so I just scooped up two more colours the other day!

Love the mousse version of their regular self tanner. It's so much easier to apply/blend and doesn't leave any gross looking streaks. It looks a very NATURAL colour unlike a lot of other self tanners that I've tried in the past. Also, you can use this one on your face instead of shelling out for a separate facial lotion which I've also been sucked into in the past. All in all, totally worth the price! At $30 it will last a long time (I'm still on my first bottle!) and will even ship free from eBeauty (yes, I am a sucker for free shipping on Canadian websites). Definitely try this product if you're looking for a quality self-tanner that's super versatile.

Cargo eyeshadows are the best I've ever used. You can put them on wet or dry so if you're going out, you can create a really cool effect and make it look like eye liner (especially cool when it's a bright colour). They're super pigmented and go on smoothly, better than a lot of the other high end makeup, I think. The only downside is the price, but considering how long they last/how versatile they are/how well they go on, it's a necessary extravagance! I think it's pretty cool that they're a Canadian company too (I'm Canadian, hehe) so I like to support them and eBeauty by buying it from a Canadian makeup site.

What a cool product. Have to admit, I was a little doubtful when this was recommended to me by a friend. It comes in handy when you're using really gloppy mascara...you just brush it through lashes while they're still wet. Make sure they're wet when you use it or else it won't work as well. I bought it off eBeauty, a Canadian beauty retailer, for only $12, so I was pretty pleased with that. This is a definite recommend for me...just make sure you clean it regularly or it gets gross.

This perfume is my go-to winter perfume. It lasts longer than most of the other perfumes I've used in the past which is awesome. It's super hard to describe the smells of perfumes but this one is almost woodsy not fruity at all -which I hate in a perfume!! The Calvin Klein Canada website describes it as being sexy and seductive which sounds lame but really does smell like this. I ran out of my bottle so I ended up going to eBeauty (the Canadian makeup site) to get a new bottle because of the free shipping over $25 promo. It ended up being wayy better than I expected because I also got a free little (15mL) bottle of the perfume that I just stash at the bottom of my purse. You won't regret buying this fragrance. It is a little pricey but if you can scoop up some free add-ons like I did, it's definitely worth it because it will last you awhile.

Mac eye shadows are great. There is literally a color for every person and tons of different shades to experiment with. I usually go in with a color in mind and then find it right away since there are so many different choices! It's important to realize that not all finishes are the same and some are way better than others. I like the satin finish ones because they go on really nicely. My favorite color from Mac is Naked Lunch. It's a soft peachy pink that is the sort of color that looks nice on all types of skin. I go through the pot and buy it again and again! Someone mentioned they have to throw out the shadows before they get used up because they last so long, which I find is true too. The nice thing is that Mac has a recycling program (in Canada at least) where if you bring in 5 empty (or not empty) containers you get a free eye shadow or lipstick! So that's a little extra motivation for me.

I was really skeptical to buy a straightener that wasn't CHI brand but after mine broke unexpectedly, I was looking for a cheap fix online. It was only $53 (at eBeauty in Canada -makeup store - soo slightly more than Ulta, haha) compared to $120 for the CHI and I'm glad I tried it. It heats up very quickly...I turn it on, brush my teeth and it's good to go! I like that it has 20 different heat settings where as the CHI only has one which is super hot soo now you can choose how hot you need it to be, reducing hair damage. A superficial thing I like is the red color which is different from a lot of boring other straighteners that are black or silver.
