    Lush American Cream

A Very Good Conditioner for the Natural-Minded

For those with thick, curly hair who don't want silicones in their conditioner, this would be the product of choice. Lovely scent with excellent conditioning. I just find that personally, my hair behaves much better with the addition of as many silicones as I can possibly get.

    Lush Big Shampoo

Perfect for people with fine or thin hair

But not so much for those of us with thick, curly, pouffy hair! However, I tried it on my daughter who had straight fine hair, and it was a wonder. Not only did it get her hair amazingly clean, it totally increased the volume. I'm impressed, and almost wish I had fine hair so I could use it! Smells wonderful, like all Lush products.

  • Secret Fresh Invisible Solid

I've been using this Secret for a long time, and I've come to think of it as my old reliable standby. I've never had a single complaint about this product at all. Make sure you pick a scent you like, since it lasts for so long. Not a good choice for people who prefer unscented products.

  • L'Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Airbrush Self-Tanning Mist

I've been using this spray on and off for two years. I have found that it sprays evenly and gives a nice bronze tan versus an orange one. A great product for the price point. Be careful as the can starts to empty, and make sure it is constantly spraying, though. Don't start without knowing that there is a full application left in the can! But I love the spray application - no weird looking palms.

  • L'Oreal Paris Sublime Glow Moisturizing MicroFine Mist + Natural Skin Tone Enhancer

The spray makes this product super easy to use. I actually combine this with the lotion from the same line, using this exclusively on my back. I prefer the lotion due to the shimmer that is in it. But this is perfect for those hard to reach places. Spray is even and it won't give you a crazy orange color. This is buildable color, so you can use it daily.

  • Emjoi Light Caress Rechargeable Epilator

The first time I used it it was a bit uncomfortable, but certainly nothing alarming. I quickly got used to the pulling sensation, and eventually it stopped bothering me at all. Probably because the areas I was going over were already smooth and didn't have any hair to remove. I did one shin and my bikini line the first time. The next day I went back and cleaned up the leg and did the other one. Uncomfortable, not that painful. Although, I will say, everyone has a different pain tolerance - I have a tattoo on my left calf, and it certainly wasn't anything near what I felt when I got that. The best part about it is the time it lasts. Because it removes hair from the root and not just the surface growth, I'm getting well over a week with no maintenance.

  • Ojon Revitalizing Mist

An excellent leave-in conditioner, but where it really excels for me is it's role as a refresher. Running late and no time to wash? A few sprays of this, and you are good to go. Spray in and restyle, if you're going out. The possibilities are endless.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Never Fail Lipcolour Compact

A Drugstore Lippie That I Actually Love

I was hanging out in Rite Aid the other day waiting for my prescriptions to be refilled, and thought I would check out the latest offerings from the drugstore beauty brands. I had heard a lot about L'Oreal's Infallible Lipstick, most of it quite good, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I picked Teaberry, thinking it would be a nice light summer color. The directions state to apply the color, wait for it to dry for two minutes, then apply the gloss. Easy enough. After following the directions, I settled in to wait and see how long it would actually last. Eight hours later, it was still there, and looking quite good. It had gone through one caramel macchiato, one espresso shot (no comments about my coffee habit, please), one lunch of miso soup, three glasses of water, and a full day of work. I did touch up the gloss about midway through my day, but only because my lips were feeling dry, and I have a habit of always glossing my lips. I am seriously impressed with this product. It lasted even longer than my Revlon, my MAC, and most of my lip stains. My only complaint is that the gloss smells like some sort of horrible cotton candy from circuses of my childhood, but that's a small price to pay for this kind of lasting color, and I don't imagine you have to use the included gloss if it grosses you out too much. I will be going back for some other shades.

  • Noxzema Bikini Shaver

    Noxzema Bikini Shaver

    The Perfect Size and Shape

These are simply excellent at shaving the bikini line. The handle is easy to grip, the head is small and able to reach all those difficult areas that traditional razors just can't seem to get smooth. They also have a moisture strip as well as a guard on the blade to avoid nicks. A very helpful tool for taking care of the bikini area.

  • Rimmel London 60 Seconds Vinyl Shine

Definitely dries quick. I used three coats, and coverage was good. Unfortunately, it began chipping within a day of application. Great for a quick mani when you don't have a huge amount of time to wait for a thorough drying.
