While I was waiting for a much more expensive Clarins self-tanner to arrive by mail, I tried Banana Boat Summer Color. I'm so glad I did! It ended up being a more natural, almost streak-free color. It is better than the Clarins I had read so many rave reviews for and paid 5 times more for. Give it a try.

Nair Shower Power Exfoliating with Skin Renewal Micro-Beads
Shaving is more effective than this product
I bought this product to see if it would be an alternative to shaving, especially if it lasts longer than shaving. It is not. I completely covered my legs as the instructions indicated and left it on for the max time for full effectiveness. It did remove all hair above the skin level but hair was longer the next day than it is when I shave. Also, if you apply it thickly as the instructions say, you may be able to apply this product twice before the tube is used up. Legs weren't smoother right after than they are when shaving. For what I paid, it would be a bit over $3 each use and not worth my money when shaving is better in the long run.

I am very pale and this product did a great job in giving me a bronze, natural-looking color. I didn't expect it to come out like spray paint but it was easy to apply by rubbing the product in (I used gloves). It seemed to take several hours for the full effect to show, so be patient with it. I applied it late morning and saw a real difference that evening, about 7-8 hours later. I agree with everyone that has already said to exfoliate well beforehand, the tanner seems to bring out the small imperfections if you don't. I think it's a worthwhile product if you are looking for a natural tan, but I can't yet vouch how long it will last. It has been 2 1/2 days for me and may have faded just a bit but still looking good.

I've used this product twice, about 2 years apart. I remembered why it had been so long between the first and second try-messy, takes hair off but not consistently, didn't seem to be enough product to do both legs for average-length legs, time-consuming. While I didn't have any problems with taking skin off or very much pain, it is hard to take off remaining wax when done with the process. I guess it would be okay for someone wanting to wax legs for a special occassion at a minimum price but I wouldn't recommend for repeated use.

I use this when I want extra conditioning, plus heat protection for blow-drying and straightening. It's not heavy at all and I would recommend, especially at the inexpensive cost.

This mousse gives hair volume for several hours, but not for more than 8 hours. Good product for the cheap price.

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Runway Straight Smoothing Milk
Skip this product if you're going on the runway
This only partially straightened hair, I'd try something else even if it means spending more money. My hair still sprung up with flyaways on the top of my head no matter if just a little or a lot was used.
