This mascara, touted by all the magazines, is a mess. It covers poorly and causes flakes and tangles if you try to layer. I wasn't even able to comb through it, that's great for your lashes (read:sarcasm). To top it all off, it dosn't stay put. Each day I used it I had a cresent of black smudge under my lower lashes! I threw it away and am searching for another to try.

I used this mask years ago, when you got it at the new Origins counter at Filenes. It was perfect for my sensitive, but oil/acne prone teen skin. I stopped using it as my skins main issues developed into Rosacea. Even so, I still get that oily, first heat of the summer, feeling and I gave it a try (from an Origins shop!). It worked great, I knew to apply it carefully and evenly to skin that I have prepped with a wet, warm towel. The results were near perfect. I did experience a bit of residual dryness around the nose. I would not use this weekly, but will use it often in the warm months to sop up that oil and city grime!

I hesitated to buy a full pan of cream shadow because I wasn't use to using it. This season I noticed that Nars was offering a side by side of two colors for the same price and went for it. I love it. The colors (Thebes Duo) are natural and sheer and comfortable to wear. I know, I'm gushing, but I have sensitive eyes and lids that would feel dry with powder shadow sometimes. In the summer, especially, I like a light color (to contrast with hot summer lip colors)with a subtle shimmer. Thebes is my new go to product. Pricey, yes, but definately worth it!

I remember searching for T. LeClerc powders! The green neutralizes redness and they have shades for a good variety of skin tones. I mix a little bit of the green with the color for my skin tone and it makes the redness dissapear. And I'm not green, either. Great 'breathability' and lasts forever.

I have a difficult time with neutral lips. I've tried every 'new' shade and texture. I like Chanel Hydrabase in Lily Beige a lot. Its not too light nor sparkly (Nars Orgsm gloss, I'm talkin' to you). It gives a subtle flush to the lips making it a great go to color. The texture is not Chanel's best, I find it drying and use it on well moisturized lips, and though I like to fragrence It might not suit everyone. All in all, it's a keeper and I've stopped buying every beige lip product I see.

I read that these shades of red were created for a film set in the 1940's, how appropriate. These are old school from the high pigmentation, to the bold shades of red, to the classic gold 'bullit' tube. I bought the whole 'Noir' Set and found every shade fun and wearable. When applied carefully, the colors last but they can be 'watered down' over gloss giving a softer look.

My stylist recommended this when I first got layers cut into my hair (I was a late bloomer). This is a great product for a beginner like me, although 'don't apply it directly to your head' should be written on it somewhere. Just a tiny bit warmed between the fingers works wonders on layers and fringe. I'm now growing out fringe and couldn't live a day without this. It also lasts all day, no need to carry it around. It's a keeper.

These work great, much better than the Body Shop's version (the first I've tried). They really do absorb surface oil, it just seems like one sheet isn't enough. Which is too bad, these are great for taking down oil without caking on powder and for prepping your lips to make lipstick stay on forever. I just wish they were thicker....Maybe I'm just really oily.

It's winter and I've been on a lip moisturizer tear. This product was a great surprise. It's super cheap, melts into your lips and leaves very little greas behind. You can apply lipstick right over it. It doesn't last long, but it's cheap enough to reapply often.

I just love the color and feel of these pencils. But, as others have aptly noted, they are too soft for anything but a smudgy, soft look. And if you're not careful throughout the day, the color wanders.
