Kérastase Masquintenses for Fine Hair is, without a doubt, the Range Rover of deep conditioners. (Supercharged Range Rover. With a 400-hp V8 engine.) I like to dole this out by the teaspoonful so I won’t run out any time soon. The smell is beyond amazing and because it’s formulated for fine hair like mine, it just works.

My skin was looking extra red today (I’ve been testing retinoids) so I reached for my La Mer The Treatment Fluid Foundation SPF 15. My friend Annie from Blogdorf Goodman swears by this full-coverage foundation and so far, it hasn’t let me down. For creating an even, smooth canvas that lasts all day, this foundation is top dog. (P.S.–At $85 per bottle, it’s more cost-effective than you think. The bottle lasts forever as you only need the teensiest amount.) (P.P.S–as always, I mixed in a drop of my Prescriptives Custom Blend Tinted Moisturizer for near-perfect color.)

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer SPF 15 With Dermaxyl Complex
Like the name says, this is great for photos
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer SPF15 is an amazing foundation primer that you surely have heard me talk about before, but it’s so good I’ll just tell you again. For silky-smooth skin that appears flawless, foundation that lasts all day, and a little extra sun protection, this primer is your gal. Don’t leave home during the holidays without her.

CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Waterproof Mascara
If you can get past the wand, you'll LOVE this formula
Since it's debut earlier this year, LashBlast remains one of my favorite mascaras (in the waterproof formula). Since the wand is huge, it's tricky to keep the mascara from getting on your eye lids, but once you get the hang of it, it's amazing. Lashes are the blackest black and the formula really beefs up my wimpy asian lashes. Also? The price beats my two other favorites: Shiseido Lasting Lift and Diorshow!

These Shu Uemura Partial Soft Cross Lashes are my ultimate favorite. Because they're divided into quarters, they are easier to apply (in my opinion) than a full set of lashes. My trick is to use one quarter on the outermost edge and then place half of another piece next to it. This gives the look of enhanced lashes without the annoying strip all the way across my eye.

When I'm in a hurry, Clinique Almost Powder Makeup SPF15 is my favorite foundation to give my skin even coverage that lasts all day. The formula is so lightweight (it's triple pressed in Japan using a unique process that takes twice as long to produce) and easy to apply, yet leaves my skin looking near-perfect

Had I not received a sample of this I likely wouldn’t have tried it because my hair is far from frizzy, but my love for this Rene Furterer Myrrhea Anti-Frizz Silkening Mask can’t be denied. I’ll admit, the smell is not the greatest—in fact, I prefer to use this when I shower at night because my morning nose finds the scent rather unpleasant—but who cares? The results are incredible. My hair is left smooth and soft (no flyaways) and super shiny. (I should note: my daughters all agree that this conditioner smells great—so it must just be me.)

When used in conjunction with the Dry Remedy Shampoo and Dry Remedy Conditioner, this Moisturizing Treatment Masque from Aveda is amazing. The smell (as with all Aveda products) is to die for and the three part system gives my hair a healthy shine without weighing it down at all.

Not only are these nails quick and easy but they look great---so natural. And the best part? They're cheap!

Always on the lookout for product that will add volume and body to our fine, limp hair—we turned to T3 Plump Heat Seeking Liquid Hair Plumper after our friend Amber gushed about its wonderfulness. (Have you seen Amber’s hair? Better than Serena Vanderwoodsen’s .) We’ve given this product so many chances. It’s been over a month and we still reach for it each morning hoping that today will be the day it finally performs for us. Sadly, that day has yet to come. For someone with Serena Vanderwoodsen hair (aka: tons of hair; aaka: Amber ) we can see how this product could be a dream. For someone with not so much, baby-fine hair (aka: yours truly) it’s just not happening. To achieve voluminous hair, nothing beats our Amplify Volumizing System by Matrix . If all else fails, we know Amplify will save the day for us and our hair.
