Hate it!

I was recommended this flat iron by a coworker. I bought it and was seriously disappointed. When the professional cost is around $130, you expect it to do it's job well. It left each of my guests hair very static-y, no matter the temperature. I used it on myself, and even my super thick, coarse, heavy hair was standing out on end! I also had difficulty maneuvering this flat iron to create clean, rounded ends, but I'm not sure if it was just the size of the plates that I wasn't used to. However, when I exchanged it for a USmooth with the same sized plates, I have had no issues maneuvering that one. Another couple stylist friends of mine said they had similar issues as I. It makes me wonder why so many people just absolutely love it? Perhaps the rest of us are using it wrong?
