I was looking for something to match my NC45 skin tone with light coverage, and this does a pretty good job! My biggest complaints would be that it can be streaky if I'm not careful, and I would prefer something a little more matte. Also, because my face has natural high- and lowlights, I can't use it all over. I have the Deep shade, and in spite of having a slightly orange tint, it matches the convex parts of my face (cheeks, forehead, nose) pretty well. I pair this with a light sweep of bronzer and constantly get compliments on what a natural glow my skin has. I'm not so in love with it that I won't eventually try something else, but for $12 I'm happy for now.

After falling in love with Garnier's BB cream, I decided I would try some tinted moisturizers from more high-end brands. I got this UD one on sale for $5, and I'm glad I did not pay full price for it. I am a lighter to medium-skinned black woman (a true NC 45) and the darkest shade of this moisturizer, Forcefield, was too light with a weird blue/gray undertone. It is very sheer, so the color isn't a huge deal, but if you're wanting even the slightest coverage, look elsewhere. In addition to the color being off (nothing a little bit of bronzer can't fix), the finish looks oily and feels a little tight. It's nice to the touch, though. I want to love it, so I'll probably keep it in the back of the drawer as a last resort for the winter when I'm not quite as tan.

This one is my favorite so far. I have Touch of Toffee (thinking about it now, that's an odd name for a color that's supposed to be pink) and although others have complained about the color of the tube not being accurate, on me it's spot-on: a nice light pink that perfectly matches my favorite coral top and the MAC Lipglass the BF got me for Christmas. =) It's great for layering, so I can apply just enough for a slightly natural look or a little more for drama. The staying time is good--not great, just good. Most of it will make it through my 5-hour waitress shift, but if I'm wearing it all day I have to re-apply at least once. Overall, not at all bad, especially for the price. I definitely plan on getting more.

This was the first lip stain ever I bought, and I was excited because I love lip color but wanted something more natural-looking than lipstick. I went with CG because it was the only one (at the time) that had a brownish color (#445) that would look natural with my caramel skin tone. I went home, put it on, and was hooked! Application was wonderful, the color was smooth, and it had great staying power...BUT it was dried up in a matter of weeks, and I wasn't even using it every day! Initially, I thought that it was drying up because I was putting on over lip balm, thinking about what happens when a marker gets wet, so I went to the store and bought another one. I took care to make sure my lips were clean and dry every time I applied it, but it has once again started to dry up. However, I bought another color (a dark red-#450) at the same time as the second tube, and it still works just fine. Although I don't use it as often as the brown, I can't help but wonder if it's only certain shades that dry up. Very disappointing, especially since I loved the first color. =(
