    Olay Simply Refresh Body Wash

    There's much better out there

I usually like the olay brand body washes, but this one just didn't work well for me. The smell was pleasant, but it didn't last on my skin as long as I'd like it to. The consistency of this body wash through me off. It was really really thick, and I find that I waste a lot of it when I use just my hands to massage this into my skin. I end up using twice as much as I normally would. I have to use a loofah with this to get a decent lather and also to not waste product.

  • Lush Honey I Washed The Kids Soap
    8.0

Lush Honey I Washed The Kids Soap

    Pretty darn good. :)

I love this soap! I got mine from a lush store a couple of months ago, and at first I was hesitant because of the price. But I fell in love with the smell of this soap, so I took a small piece home. The smell of this is sweet, but not overpowering, and it smells like honey and a little bit of caramel. The smell is more subtle and lingers on the skin for a decent amount of time after my shower. This soap is also pretty moisturizing and feels very nice on the skin. I also love how Lush products are made with a lot better ingredients than soaps you would find at other places. I found only a couple of things wrong with this soap, which knocked off a couple of stars on my rating. The first, it didn't lather up as much as I would like during the shower. And second, there is a top layer of what the lady at the store said was honey on the soap (you can google pictures to see what it looks like) that I'm not sure what I was supposed to do with. The honey layer of the soap didn't really melt on my skin and sort of just broke off in dry, hard chunks down the drain. So I'm not sure what that top layer of honey is supposed to do, other than smell nice.

  • Secret Outlast Clear Gel

    Secret Outlast Clear Gel

    Nothing too special.

I was pretty excited when gel formulas for deodorants started to come out. I really hated getting white spots on my clothes from my deodorants. But I found that this really didn't make a difference that much compared to regular solid deodorants. Compared to the invisible solid from this brand and line, the antiperspirant qualities and longevity were pretty similar and worked the same. Whenever I put this one on, however, I'd have to wait to put on my clothes just because the gel takes a while to dry under my arms. It reminded me of waiting to put on clothes after you put on self tanning lotion as to not get the self tanner on your clothes. The smell is nice and it did keep me pretty dry throughout the day, but not much more than my regular, solid secret deodorant would. I was disappointed that the gel part of the deodorant didn't work as well for me as I thought it would, but I would rate it the same as my regular deodorant.

  • Biore Blemish Treating Astringent

    Biore Blemish Treating Astringent

    Noticed some differences.

This product does do what it says it will do. I personally don't have too many blemishes, but I did notice that I had less after a few weeks use. My brother, who used it as well, noticed less blemishes as well, particularly in his forehead where the majority of his acne is. This product didn't get a full 10 stars because of a couple of reasons. Firstly, the smell. I haven't tried that many toners so I'm not entire sure if they're supposed to smell like that, but mine had a slightly medicinal, nasty smell. The odor lingered on my skin for a little while afterward. Secondly, it stung my skin a little. Not enough to really hurt, but it wasn't pleasant. My brother said he experienced the same feeling, and I don't particularly have sensitive skin. So if you have sensitive skin or can't stand bad smells, I don't think this is for you. On the topic of clearing up blemishes, however, I think it did reasonably well, but not amazing.

  • Maybelline New York Color Whisper

I definitely love this product. I have three of the colors. I have Rose of Attraction, Pin up Peach, and Who Wore it Redder? I really love Rose of attraction. It is a your lips but better for my lips. I have a pretty pigmented set of lips. (that sounded awkward to say). Pin up Peach gives a nice, not too orangy coral shade to my lips with a slight shimmer. Who wore it redder is a night bright red that is a lot buildable. I find the color whispers to be just a slightly bit more moisturizing than the comparable to the revlon lip butters. The revlon lip butters also have a lot of more shimmery shades, so you might not want to look at those when you check them out. The color whispers seem to have a little less moisture than the revlon lip butters, but I think that the color whispers tend to be cheaper in general, So far so good! would overall recommend these. One star gets knocked off because they're not really good at moisturizing your lips

  • Sonia Kashuk Remove Eye Makeup Remover

I had heard a lot of great things about this all over beauty blogs and youtube, so I went out and purchased this. But after using my Estee Lauder Eye makeup remover, this didn't even compare. The Sonia Kashuk one left my eyelids greasy/oily feeling and it was really bothersome when I was spot cleaning. If I messed up on my liquid liner and tried to use this to clean it up, the oiliness made it difficult for me to put on liquid liner afterwards to fix it. It didn't do the best job of wiping off all my makeup either. I would have to tug a little bit and many a time, I would find a couple of eyelashes on my cotton rounds. This also irritated my eyes a little bit and stung a little when I got any in my eyes, but I have sensitive eyes, so I imagine that it would be just find for someone with non sensitive eyes. The only good thing that I found about this was that it lasts a long time, so if this works for you, it'll make it really worth it.

    Ojon Rare Blend Oil

    Almost love it

I like a lot of things about this product, except for the fact that it makes my hair look greasy. I love the way it feels in my hair, and it definitely helps shape my fine, brunette hair, but no matter how little of it I seem to put it, it makes my hair look oily.

  • Psssst Instant Spray Shampoo

    Psssst Instant Spray Shampoo

Not much usage out of one can.

I had heard great reviews on this product, so I decided to try it out. It was a decent dry shampoo. It soaked up the oils in my second day hair okay and did give me some volume. But I found that I had to use a lot of this product for it to work really well for me. I've only used it a few times and it feels like i'm already halfway through the spray can. I much prefer the Batiste dry shampoo just because it last much longer and works just as well, if not better than this one. Whenever I put this on, I feel like I'm overdoing it and coating my hair with too much product. I think this will work well for someone who just wants to use this for volume and just a little oil absorption. For people that have more oily hair, I don't recommend you get this one. I won't be purchasing again.

  • Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Nutrient Spray

I won't lie, the main reason I use this product is for the smell it leaves in my hair. I can't place my finger on how it smells, but to me, it smells slightly citrusy and something else I can't tell. But it also does leave my hair shiny and gives it a little boost. The nutrients are a plus as well.

  • Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Cream Shadow

If the title of my review didn't tell you, I LOVE this cream eyeshadow. I really liked my maybelline color tattoo Bad to the Bronze for an everyday all over lid color ( for those simpler, one eyeshadow days), but I found it to be just a little too dark for my liking. I found the Estee Lauder Cafe Au Lait shade from my local Cosmetics Company Outlet for like $13, i believe, $4 less than the $17 retail value. I was very impressed with the quality of this cream shadow. It's definitely a step up from the maybelline ones. Don't get me wrong, I still think the Color tattoos are an excellent value and are great, but the Estee Lauder one that I have is much softer and creamier. It blends a little better and the shade that I have is a lot more wearable for everyday. I noticed that estee lauder had a lot more shades and I will be definitely picking a few more up if I can get my hands on it. I would definitely recommend this!
