When there was all of the hype about Bare Minerals, I had to try it. The starter kits seemed reasonably priced, and it seemed to work well at first. Then my skin became very dry and itchy. I found out what was most likely the culprit: bismuth oxychloride. Apparently most mineral foundations (but not all. If you like mineral foundation, then I would suggest Everyday Minerals. Still too drying for me, but it didn't make me itch) contain this ingredient as a filler, even though I've heard of many people that have reactions to it. For me, it is definitely NOT worth the price. Needless to say, I'm no longer using Bare Minerals Foundation. Placing my thoughts about bismuth oxychloride aside, I do like that it has SPF and that it has buildable coverage.

I had been trying to find a good eye primer because I have been wearing more dramatice eye makeup, and the creasing that happens withing an hour or so on my oily lids just isn't pretty. At first, I was going to buy Urban Decay Primer Potion, but I'm so glad that I looked at reviews first. The quality it supposed to be comparable to Too Faced Shadow Insurance, however the packaging is shaped in a way that a TON of product is wasted (unless you painstakingly saw open the bottle). TSFI has a nice squeeze tube that is easy to use and more sanitary. I was pleasantly surprised to find that just a tiny dot on each eye helps my eyeshadow last throught the whole day with no to very, very minimal creasing at night. I was initially very skeptical about this product, but I am elated that it truly does work as advertised. The only reason that I'm taking off one star is because it is a bit pricey, but still well worth it.
