Lancome Hypnose Drama Instant Full Body Volume Mascara
Provides excellent lash separation for a full bodied look!
One criteria I always look for in a good mascara is how well it separates my already thick lashes. The worst a mascara can do is group my thick lashes into sections, giving it a thin, spidery-legs effect that NEVER looks good. Unfortunately, I have used many of those types of mascaras in the past, regardless of brand or price. Well, I think I have found one that doesn't do that. The Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara not only does an excellent job separating my lashes, it gave it volume and length without so much as clumping even after 2-3 coats! The mascara comes in a black, hourglass shape tube and the brush has a slight "s" shape to it. I suspect the shape of the brush has a lot to do with how well the product separates and thickens lashes. The mascara is slightly on the wet side and there's a lot of product deposited on the brush when you pull it out of the tube. And because of this wetness, the mascara takes a bit longer to dry. The black color is a very good black and slightly on the shiny side. In the morning, I find that one coat of this does the trick of giving me dramatic, long, thick and clump-free lashes. Of course if you want to step it up a notch and add additional coats, this product will deliver and won't clump and flake while you're applying it. An overall excellent buy and definitely a repeat buy! Yes the mascara isn't cheap but you do get what you pay for.

Yves Saint Laurent Beauty Parisienne Eau de Parfum Spray
If you prefer a floral-woodsy scent, you might like this
I got a sample of this in the mail to review and I would describe this perfume as woodsy and floral at the same time. When I first applied it on, the floral aspect of it was more overpowering than the woodsy scent. As the day wore on, it was the reverse in that the scent gave way to a more subtle woodsy essence. There wasn't any alcohol smell, which is a plus. I did not, however, detect any Damask Rose or red berries, which this perfume is supposed to depict. Instead, this perfume reminds me of an overpowering floral-woodsy incense, especially when first applied. Keep in mind that I'm trying to describe something that is highly subjective. With MY skin chemistry, this is how the scent turned out. Your experience *may* vary. With this said, I prefer a more lighthearted, oriental woodsy smell as opposed to an overpowering floral-woodsy one. I would describe this perfume as "mature" as opposed to "innocent." Still, I could get used to this and may consider purchasing a full size bottle in the future.

I use this almost everyday on top of my lipstain, lipstick or all by itself. It has a yummy cherry flavor/scent and the mint feels nice on the lips. Best of all, it helps with my chronically dry lips in that it keeps it supple and soft. The price is very reasonable for its performance and this will definitely be a repeat buy for me.

Of all the bronzers I tried out there, this is one of the best (if not the best) product I've used thus far. The color pay-off is excellent and I only need one application to get the desired effect I'm going for. Of course the color can be built upon by additional application. The product's consistency is silky, smooth and a breeze to blend. On my skin, it wore for the whole day without so much as getting cakey or orangey. The product isn't cheap by any means but a little of this goes a long way. I've had mine for a couple of months now and I hardly made a dent in it. The best aspect of all is it gives me the "your skin, only better" look which is very natural and doesn't look too opaque.

I have 2 colors in Lotus and Melon and if it wasn't for the overload of glitter, the colors are actually lovely. What I do like about it is the packaging which is small enough to put in your pocket. Also, I didn't find this gloss too sticky at all...an aspect I absolutely loathe about lipglosses in general. Length of wear is just like any other gloss. On me it wore about two hours without eating or drinking but obvioulsy if you do any of those things while wearing this, it WILL come off. But the sleek and small package the gloss comes in makes it handy to store on your person for re-application. I guess it's the glitter that turns me off of using this everyday.

But on my medium complexion, this hardly showed up. I had to apply at least 2-3x to get the effect I was going for. This bronzer also has a slight shimmer which isn't bad in and of itself, but I prefer a more subtle shimmer as opposed to the one this has. As far as the brush, it's basically clumsy to use as it didn't deposit much color on my skin. I've had to use my own bronzer brush to get the job done. Overall not a bad product if you have a medium complexion and going for the subtle look but for me it was too much hassle than it's worth.

I have used many shower gels ranging from cheap to expensive and this is one of the few I tried that doesn't leave my skin itchy and dry after shower. I like the pump container this product comes in for easy dispensing of the gel. The only thing I'm not too fond of is the scent. It's a bit too masculine for my taste but then again, I'm used to more feminine scented shower gels so if you don't mind this aspect of it, then you will like this product for it's gentle properties.

The crimson color this lip/cheek stain comes in looks good for night-time but a bit too intense for ME during daytime. While I love the idea of an all in one lip and cheek color that comes in a stain form, I'm almost afraid to use this color on my cheeks. On lips it looks okay but on the cheeks, it's a bit too red for my taste. If you're wanting a more subtle, natural look, one coat is all you need. For cheek application, I found it easier to first dab it on and blend with my fingers. The color is also buildable if you prefer a more dramatic pigment but for me, this stain is better suited for nightime use.

The reason I said "daytime" is because this mascara doesn't give you that overly dramatic lashes that some of us prefer. Instead it gives you a natural, light to medium, non clumpy coverage. With this said, I actually enjoy using it daily. In fact, it has become my "go to" mascara when I'm particularly in a rush and just need one coat to enhance my lashes. As far as lengthening, I didn't notice much lengthening effect. My lashes are already long to begin with and because this mascara is lightly formulated, I didn't expect much in the way of lengthening. What I liked the most about it is it didn't give me clumpy coverage, neither did it give me spider legs lashes. What I liked least was the formula took a little longer to dry compared to other mascaras I've used. Now if you're the type to go for dramatic, false eyelash effect, you might be disappointed with this mascara and might want to look elsewhere. Likewise, if you like a more natural coverage, you might want to give this one a try. Personally this is appropriate for me to use during daytime.

Okay, so I don't live in a dry cold climate. In fact, I live where it's summer all yr round but unfortunately, my lips are very prone to drying and cracking. I purchased this product in hopes of exfoliating some dead skin cells on my lips and healing up the painful cracks I get on them. Laura Mercier Lip Silk accomplished exactly that and more. I apply the product nightly before going to bed and I've been doing this religiously for 2 wks now. At this very moment, my lips are healed, moisturized and I haven't experienced any cracking since. In fact, in just two days of using it, I've noticed a vast improvement in the condition of my lips. The result is smooth, healthy, supple lips. Because my lips look much healthier now, lip products such as lip gloss or lipstick look a lot better on. A must have for someone who is prone to experiencing dry, peeling or cracking lips.
