I bought this on recommendation from my friend who has loved and used this for years. I loved it so much that I am now on my second bottle. This provides the best medium/strong hold for curls and updos that I have experienced. I have very fine hair that I curl to give extra volume. Once I have curled my hair, I give a light spray of this and whoa...my curls just seize up and stay there. This gives a great hold and does make my hair look more voluminous. My style lasts all day, where it would otherwise fall flat within two hours. The salon that I have been going to for years carries mainly Bumble and Bumble products but my stylist admitted that the Extra Body Hairspray is the one Paul Mitchell product they carry, because it is so good. I personally, would prefer a different smell. This just smells like a typical hairspray, nothing great. Nonetheless, I will continue to purchase this because it provides such a unique hold without making my hair crunchy or weighed down. If you have thin, or limp hair, I would look into this!

Rosebud Salve is a great thing to have in your purse or at your desk because it is a huge multitasker in a small tin. This is great for chapped lips, dry elbows, flaking cuticles, rough heels and the terrible, flaky sensitive nose we all get when we have a cold. If you like the smell of roses, then you will like the scent of this. I have also tried the Strawberry flavor and while I prefer the smell of that one, I think the consistency of the original is much better. This is really easy to dab anywhere you need it. I prefer the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream because I think it helps the really dry areas (like sick nose) a bit better than the Rosebud Salve, but this is significantly cheaper. I also prefer the squeeze tube of the Eight Hour Cream to the tin of the Rosebud Salve. Anything that I don't have to dig my nails in, I prefer. However, this is still a nice product to use for many different things and it is so portable and and inexpensive that you can afford to get a couple and stash them wherever you need them.

I have the Real Techniques Core Collection and love two of that set's brushes for many different things. I bought the stippling brush because I had never tried one before. Real Techniques is a solid brand that is extremely affordable so I figured it would be a good introduction to the stippling brush for me. The brush does its job pretty well but not great. It is synthetic (as are all Real Techniques brushes) and works nicely with cream products. The look of these is awful though. It is a tacky, shiny pink color and the handle is too thick for my liking. These are extremely lightweight since they are made of aluminum. This makes them great for travel, however, on a day to day basis I actually prefer a heavier, more sturdy feeling handle. I wanted this specifically for cream blush application. I find that this is a bit big for blush on me, but it still works well enough if I'm careful about placement. I wish that this was more densely packed with bristles. The brush isn't nearly as full as I expected and I find that it affects my makeup application. I don't like using this for applying foundation. After having this brush a few months and trying it with different things, I noticed that I wasn't really using it anymore. I bought the MAC 130, which is their short, small version of the duo fiber stippling brush and it really blew me away. After using that brush, which is densely packed, super soft and easy to use, I realized that the Real Techniques stippling brush leaves much to be desired. It is very reasonably priced, but it does not perform like the more expensive brush does.

When I want to thoroughly clean my brushes, I use good old-fashioned baby shampoo, but when I need to quickly clean a brush or two and can't afford to wait ages for them to dry, I use MAC's brush cleanser. For this, MAC's brush cleanser is perfect for me. At $14 a bottle, this is not the most cost effective method for getting your brushes clean. However, you are paying for the convenience of this product. It gets the makeup out of my brushes really easily and really quickly. The best thing though is that when I use this, my brushes dry super fast. Compared to thoroughly wetting and washing my brushes with shampoo, the MAC cleansing method takes much less time to get my brushes clean and my brushes are hardly out of commission. Using this intermittently on just a few brushes at a time, my bottle has lasted me several months. I would not recommend this product as your only method of cleaning your brushes, but I would definitely recommend it for quick and easy "spot cleaning".

I have three Illamasqua powder blushes and love them all. Lover is a wonderful matte peach color that I see has a rave review here as well. The other I have is Katie. This is a soft, natural, but bright pink matte blush. Both are beautifully pigmented and blend really nicely into the skin. I also have the color Disobey, which is a matte light brown that I use for contouring. The color is light enough for my pale skin, but it's also nicely pigmented so it shows up well. They all have great staying power for powder blushes. I absolutely love the color selection of Illamasqua's blushes. Colors vary from more neutral to very bold. At $24 each, they are expensive but the amount of product you receive is quite generous compared to say, Laura Mercier, and with how pigmented these are, you really don't need much. Worth the price if you ask me!

I picked this up in the color Lychee, which is a bright pink. The tub packaging is great because you can squeeze out precisely the amount of product that you want, and trust me a little of this goes a long way! This product blends beautifully on the skin. Even though Lychee is a bright pink, when I blend it out, the affect is quite subtle. It can also be built up for a brighter cheek look. Beach tints can also be used on the lips and this works great for that as well. I just dab a bit on and it works like a light stain on the lips. It goes in fairly wet but dried down to a matte finish. Because these are cream blushes in a tube, the consistency is different to your typical cream blush/lip product. It goes on more oily for lack of a better word. However, these will not make your skin look greasy at all. This just makes it super easy to spread and blend, but just like it does on the lips, the product dried down to a soft, non greasy finish that looks natural and pretty. I'd love to pick these up in more colors because they are so easy to work with, have great color pay off and last so well on both the cheeks and the lips.

There is not an eye shadow that this brush does not like. The soft, densely packed hairs pick up any kind of eye shadow beautifully and really allow you to pack on color for a vibrant look. This is also nice for lightly sweeping color over the lids. It is easy to control how much shadow you load on this brush. I have had my 239 for several years and it has held up beautifully. It is one of the easiest brushes to clean and each time I do, it looks like new all over again. I love that the hairs are white so you can easily see the shadow on the brush. So many eye shadow brushes flop around too much, but this one has the perfect amount of give for working on the base of the lid. The tip is small enough that you can use this to place highlighter on the inner corners of your eyes or run a darker color along your lash line for a smokey look. You can also use this for placing highlighter on the brow bone. If you don't have this brush in your beauty arsenal, you are really missing out!

I got a deluxe sample of this in one of my monthly subscription boxes. I like that Pangea offers organic, paraben-free products, but from what I have tried, they seem pretty mediocre, yet they are priced rather high. This scrub is a perfect example. This is a very basic physically exfoliating scrub. For me, this was entirely too rough and harsh for my face. I felt like the physical exfoliators were actually tearing my skin. This is fairly thick and hard to move around your face too. I gave up trying to use this on my face and will use the remainder of my sample to exfoliate my feet during at home pedicures. What is amazing to me is that a small bottle of this rough scrub costs over $30! For that money, you can find much more effective, yet gentle options from other brands that also contain quality, plant ingredients. Skip this scrub.

I got this razor as a freebie somehow but was reluctant to use it because I love the design of my Schick Quattro Razor so much and this is a very different to that. Because this razor has five blades and moisture strips all around that, it is quite bulky. The handle however, is lightweight and easy to grip. This took some getting used to, and I still think it could be better at getting around my ankles and knees, but I do really like the shave it gives. Because this has five blades, it provides a really close shave. The moisture strips around the blades get a little gooey when wet, but they do help keep my dry, itchy legs slightly more moisturized. After a couple weeks using this razor (I change my razors out about once a month), the moisturizing strips aren't doing much anymore, but that is OK. When I first used this I thought it was decent but that I would return to my Schick Quattro in a month. After using this a few times though, I realize that my legs stay smoother for longer and I think it is due to this razor's incredibly close shave. I may actually abandon my favorite razor for this, despite its rather bulky design.

I have the Illamasqua Cream Blusher in "Promise" which is a nice, versatile, creamy pink color. This is really easy to apply with a synthetic brush or your fingertips. The consistency is creamy and smooth so it blends into my skin really nicely. This leaves a slightly dewy finish, but is not greasy or shiny at all. It is easy to build up the color of this to reach the amount of pink you want, from just slightly flushed, to babydoll cheeks. Compared to my MAC cream blush, this has a more creamy consistency and is much more pigmented. The MAC cream blush is harder and doesn't glide onto the skin like Illasmasqua's. My blush is going to last me quite a while because the product is so pigmented and a little goes such a long way that I don't have to use much at all. This is one of my favorite cream blushes and I would love to get more colors from the range.
