I take pieces of flannel and make face wipes instead of using cotton balls. Washing them instead of throwing stuff away.

to use earth friendly products that way once they get washed down the drain they don't harm the environment. From my haircare to my car wash soap I use earth friendly biodegradable products.

Everything for me is about the 3 R's - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.  Tried and true, I feel that following this simple mantra throughout the day helps me leave less of a footprint on the Earth.  Paying attention to the packaging of beauty products is one simple way you can do more with less - old makeup brushes are great 'new' art supplies for little ones; old sample shampoo and conditioner bottles can be refilled with your favorite shampoos and conditioners to travel with when you are away from home; and old toothbrushes, once sanitized, can become handy cleaning tools to get into hard to reach cracks and crevices.  

Instead of buying pricey chemical filled products, look for the more organic items or make your own such as a face mask out of soy milk and rice flour.  You could add a drop of clove oil to help with blemishes. 

To be more Earth friendly when it comes to beauty, I always try to reuse jars from cream products. You never know when you´ll need a container for your DIY lip scrub!

I also never buy cosmetics unless I know the company DOES NOT test on animals!

Ever since I was a little girl and saw my cousin drop a bottle of foundation on the floor and the next day it had eaten thru the tile, I swore I was never going to use that stuff, and I haven't I've always moisterized morning and night before putting on powder make-up. And once a week I would steam my face, open my pores, clean it good with astringent, then moisterize again, then before bedtime, I pop vitamins A, C, & E, ( the gel caps), and put it straight on my face, I find it works better then everything they have in the moisterizers, but I still make sure I use the best moisterizers out there, and I'm now 46 and look like 36, it's so nice to get that complianmt   So I always tell the younger girls what to use, I cringe when I see them put foundation on top of foundation and powder over and over all day. This product looks like something I would love to try, hope my tips help someone

I always recycle cosmetic containers with the vendor, such as Kiehl's and L'Occitane. I also recycle MAC lipstick tubes to MAC. Carole VonAllten

I have been a conservator of this planet since I was little, my parents were very aware of how precious our planet is.  We always recycled and I am so happy to see companies are accepting plastic containers.  I love how MAC works with the lipsticks.  I try to use cruelty free products, if I know I will not use the item.  I just always try to leave this wonderful planet the best I can for the next generations.  My father always told me what is natural is best and he has been proven right through the years.  I miss  him so much, he passed way too soon in 1994.  Love and laughter to you all.

My 49th birthday will be here in, just a few days and I thank God I am still alive and able to enter this contest. I have Mixed Connective Tissue Disease ( Lupus, Scleroderma and neuropathy) . Two weeks before Christmas I lost most of the feeling in both legs and an EMG later as well as a muscle biopsy on my right thigh and ankle has revealed that I also have myositis. I have an appointment at Johns Hopkins April 30th. I say all that to explain how important it is for me to look my best at all times. I refuse to give up! Every day I drink at least eight 8 ounces of water to ensure I am hydrating my face and body. I recycle everything and I do whatever I can to ensure I am doing my part to be eco friendly, both to myself and to the earth. Due to my diseases, I am on disability and cannot afford the excellent makeup you are giving as a prize. It would make my day, year and more to know I am doing everyrhing I can do to look attractive to my husband of 30 years. We are grateful for each day we have together.
