Essential pre-wedding beauty preparations for a stunning bride-to-be

Making the guest list, sending out invitations, choosing the perfect venue – the list of responsibilities a bride needs to handle before her wedding can go on and on. In the midst of all of this planning, you can easily forget about the most important thing – yourself! Let’s face it, the bride is the star of any wedding, and you probably want to look the part. Well, in order to be that stunning, glowing, vibrant bride that steals the breath of everyone watching her walk down the aisle, you will need to put in a bit of effort, and prioritize your beauty routine. Although the list bellow might not include everything that should be done, it will help you discover the pre-wedding beauty preparations musts.

Moisturizing – Cleansing – Toning

Start by stocking up on high quality skin care products and using them on a daily basis, without skipping any important steps in your routine. The three most essential products that require a daily use are cleansers, moisturizers and toners. Skin that is properly cleaned and cared after will always have that beautiful glow to it. While the cleanser will help you maintain it dirt-free, the toner will tighten the pores and the moisturizers will keep the skin soft, and prevent it from dealing with fine lines.

Hair and facial spa

Professional facials can truly work wonders! Keeping your skin looking young and healthy, with all the stress you are probably facing at the moment can be challenging, so often resorting to pros is recommended. Book one or two facials a month for a period of at least size seven months – together with your own skin care routine, professional facials will provide you with the beautifying effect desired. Also, besides skin spa, hair spa is something you should consider as well. With the right treatments and masks, your hair can look shiny and healthier, and it will be easier for you to style it the way you prefer on your big day.

Skin exfoliation

Black heads and dead skin cells will prevent you from looking your best on your special day, so a regular exfoliating routine prior to your wedding becomes more important than ever. When taking your makeup off, before using your regular face wash, also exfoliate your skin using an adequate product at least two or three times a week. The difference will certainly be a noticeable one. And make sure you exfoliate the skin on your neckline area as well, because if you are thinking of wearing a stunning sleeveless dress, and a designer Pearl-Lang necklace, ever inch of skin that will be showing should look smooth and glowing.

Teeth whitening

Posing with impeccable smile in your wedding photos is certainly one of your wishes. Well, actually having those picture-perfect pearly-whites needs a bit of work, and if you smoke or drink coffee, you probably deal with a bit an issue in this department. You can find many kinds of toothpaste that contain whitening ingredients, so you should start using one. However, if you want more powerful results, you can always resort to your dentist for a professional teeth whitening treatment.

Book a make-up test run!

A fine-tuned look requires a perfect makeup, and although you might have found yourself a make-up artist with experience, who has good reviews, or was recommended to you by a friend, you can never know if their work is actually to your taste. Looking in the mirror hours before your wedding just to see a disastrous or unflattering make-up is certainly something you probably want to avoid. This is why, brides to be are recommended to always book a make-up test run. This way, you can discuss with the person you hire for the job about your preferences, perhaps try out several styles, and you won’t have any questions or surprises during your big day.

Hair test run

Just like a test run for your wedding make-up will be needed, getting one for your hairstyle is also advised. Perhaps you might have a picture in mind on how you want your hair to be styled, and once you actually try the hairdo, you discover it’s not actually working that great for you. A test run will give you the possibility to see if your choice actually suits your face shape and gown, as well as figure out if the stylist is as skilled as you want them to be.

Eat healthier

You might be going to the spa with regularity, and using high-end skin care routine products on the regular, but if you don’t pay attention to what you eat, you can always expect to face a huge breakout just days before your special day. Starting to eat healthier with at least few months before the wedding is important not only to maintain your figure, and stay fit but for the health of your skin as well. If you splurge on sugary treats, consume fast food often, drink perhaps a bit too much alcohol, your skin will have to suffer. Because you probably don’t want to have dry, puffy, skin or even deal with acne, start thinking twice about what your diet consists of.

Don’t forget sleep is important!

You can easily get carried away by all your other wedding preparations, and end up losing quite a few nights of restful sleep just so every wedding detail turns out as planned. Well, if you want to be a glowing, vibrant bride, restful sleep plays an essential role. You probably don’t want to walk down the aisle with dark circles under your eyes (no make-up artist can cover those), so making sleep a priority is a must. Getting somewhere around 8 to 10 hours of sleep a day is recommended at least with a few weeks before your wedding. Try to remember that how rested you are will be easily noticeable.

Planning a wedding can be quite challenging, with so many responsibilities that need your attention. While you might want everything to turn out perfect, you should also focus on your appearance, because one of your desires for your big day is to look absolutely flawless. Well, although your gown, and choice of jewelry are important, some pre-wedding preparations will also be demanded
