Makeup
That's why I shop at Sephora...Wow!
Hi Ladies,
1st off, I will be getting a new camera next week (HD), so more hair extension pics are surely on the way.
Now to move on to what I'm blogging for, if you've read my profile you know I love, love, love makeup and I love, love, love Sephora. So, even though Sephora is my fav makeup destination I do like to switch it up and go to MAC, Ulta, Dept. stores, etc. Well, I was talking to a friend of mine who isn't really into makeup and asked me where should she purchase, while I thought about sending her to Sephora, I told her to try MAC (there's a store here where we live). Anywho, she took my advice and went to MAC, but her experience went from pleasant to terrifying when a statement was made by one of the young women to the effect of, "If my dad was here he'd call you a ni**er." My friend said she thought she had mistaken what she had heard...(mind you this is the young lady doing her makeover, saying this). And, sure enough after my friend asked her to repeat herself, she said it again. Well, my friend went to the manager over the young lady and then called corporate to complain. I don't know what to say! I mean really? She said the young lady was early twenties at most. I always go to that MAC store, but it is usually more mature women that help me, the younger ones give poor customer service in my opinion, but still that's atrocious. I felt so bad recommending MAC to her. When she told me all about her experience, he only thing I could say was "Wow! I'm speechless." Very, very, very poor customer service.
Until next time,
Darkcocoa

WOW. That's awful! I can't believe things like that happen in this day and age. I am so sorry. But, let me pass this on to you. Before you go to Sephora, check your product to be purchased on www.amazon.com. Go under the beauty tab, and you will find all prestige cosmetics like Benefit, Too Faced, Urban Decay etc. and fragrance. They don't necessarily carry the full line, but it's worth looking before buying. You can test at Sephora or ULTA, then compare prices. Some products on Amazon qualify for free shipping. I bought Instant Effect Face Tightener from Hydroxatone for $69. Found it on Amazon later for $19.00 and FREE SHIPPING!!!!! Needless to say I bought it. It is exactly like the one from Hydroxatone; so they are not doing a bait and switch. It came in the exact same packaging and is the identical product!!. Also, forget Sephora. Go to ULTA. They carry both prestige cosmetics and drug store type brands, like Revlon, Maybelline, L'Oreal. If you go to their website, you can always get a printable $3.50 coupon for a discount towards NON prestige cosmetics, face care and fragrance. But hey, if you need anything else, get $3.50 off! Some women need glue on their lips to keep them close.
